SHEV (Smoke and Heat Exhaust Ventilation)

A SHEV (Smoke and Heat Exhaust Ventilation) is a security device designed to facilitate the evacuation of people in extreme situations such as fires. Its functions are to improve visibility and reduce the heat in the building, thus decreasing the risk of asphyxiation due to smoke inhalation and facilitating the evacuation of the people inside.
The new SHEV system consists of a structure formed by an enclosure and an integrated motor which facilitates opening and closing. This motor is activated whenever there is a fire so as to enable the natural evacuation of heat and smoke upwardly.

This way, it favours the formation of a smoke-free layer above the ground and facilitates the elimination of hot gases released in the fire, thus increasing the time available for the evacuation of the building.

This system is compatible with the TP 52 and SG 52 curtain-wall façade lines, the COR 80 and COR 70 Industrial carpentries and the Veranda System.
